CAREY, JimĀ With all our love and wonderful memories, we say goodbye to Jim Carey who passed away on March 5, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Villa.

Reunited with his wife Bev who passed away in 2009. Devoted father of Paul (Anne), Kathy Ward (Art), Lori, Steve (Martha). Cherished grandpa and great-grandpa of Chris (Jennifer), Andrew (Stefanie), Matthew (Brit), Ian, David, Lenny, Danica, Harrison, and Simon. Loving brother of Ted, Bill, Art, Vin, and Mary. Jim will always live in the hearts of nieces, nephews and his extended chosen family.

Jim was a 35 year serviceman with Union Gas. He was a lifelong dedicated volunteer of Hamilton Scouting for over 60 years, and was well-known for his expertise in knot work. Jim’s volunteer spirit lives on in the lives of thousands of youth and seniors who were touched by his dedication. Recipient of Bar to the Silver Acorn and the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Legacy Award.

Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, on Friday 4-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 20 Idlewood Avenue, on Saturday, March 9th, at 11 a.m. Internment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery to follow.

Donations may be made in honour of Jim to Camp Nemo, Scouts Canada or St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation.
