BAXTER, JAMES GOODALL January 18, 1931 – December 21, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James “Jim” Goodall Baxter, beloved husband of 63 years to Jean (nee Rogers). Loving father to David, James, Diane, Douglas and Donna. Cherished “Papa” to Michael, Jacquelynn, Lyndsy, Johnathan, Mark, Robbie, Derek, Jessica and many great-grandchildren.
Only one thing rivaled his love for his family and that was his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs. A die-hard fan, Jim never missed a game. Known for his quick wit and laid-back personality, Jim was always fun to be around. He was always there to lend a hand, offer a joke or pass you a bottle of Lakeport Honey. We find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 20th from 1-4 p.m. at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
