Jeanette COOKE

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jeanette (Jenny) Cooke on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Arbour Creek Long-term Care Centre in her 85th year. Survived by her sons Dennis, Bruce (Suzanne), and Paul (Michelle).

Predeceased by her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Cooke; brothers Michael, John, Peter, Fred and Robert; sisters Anne and Lena; nephew Peter Jr. She leaves behind her sisters Lucy Migus and Rosalie Yaremko, along with many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. She will be fondly remembered as the quintessential neighbourhood Mom to many of her sons’ friends as well, affectionately known by others as “Grandma Cooke”.

Jeanette was a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Vladimir, an active member of the Ladies Auxillary-Lesia Ukrainka Branch, and the Delta Alumni Association. The family would like to thank the staff on F5 at Juravinski Hospital, 4th Floor at Arbour Creek and Gary Blake for all their care and support of Jeanette during these past months. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021.

Everyone is invited to watch the online livestream of the funeral at 11 a.m. on Jeanette’s webpage at www.marlattfhhamilton.com and clicking on “Join Livestream” under the Service section of the webpage. Private interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Vladimir’s, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
