JONES, Robert Brian Godfrey (Brian “Catfish”)

JONES, Robert Brian Godfrey (Brian “Catfish”)Entered into rest peacefully, surrounded by his family at his home in Caledonia, on Saturday, April 6, 2019 in his 76th year.

Beloved husband to Sharon (Mallard) for 53 years. Loving father of Kim Featherston (Rob) and Scott Jones. Dear grandpa to Bailey, Riley and Hannah. Brian is also survived by his sister Sandra Franklin (Glen, deceased) and his in-laws, Ed and Marilyn Mallard and Deanna and Bruce Cudmore. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and sadly missed by his friends and former co-workers.

Brian retired from Stelco after 38 dedicated years. Brian was a true outdoorsman. He was in his element trolling the waters of Lake Erie from the family cottage at Evan’s Point. He proudly displayed the trophy bass he caught, in his basement “man cave”. Among the bass hangs a perch that is 2 ounces off of the world record. Brian made many friends and enjoyed great adventures on his numerous hunting trips to North Carolina. Upon Sharon’s and his retirement they were able to travel the world. During these adventures, they made numerous friends and wonderful memories.

The family would like to thank the CBI nurses, nurse practitioners and the care coordinators with the HNHB LHIN for their exemplary and compassionate care.

A private family service will take place in the MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL , Caledonia, followed by an Interment of ashes in Caledonia Cemetery. A celebration of life to share memories of Brian will take place in the Royal Canadian Legion in Caledonia on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 2 – 4 p.m.

If so desired, donations to Hamilton Mission Services would be appreciated by the family. www.millerfuneralchapel.ca
