FUJARCZUK, Karl J. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karl Joseph Fujarczuk (Fay) on January 12, 2019 at Credit Valley Hospital.
He is survived by the love of his life of 60 years Jeanette (June) (Yaworski), his children Linda (Brian), James (Jennifer), Michael (Nathalie) and Helen and Dziadzia to grandchildren Bradley, Steven, Quentin, Savannah and Brianna. Born in Poland on June 10, 1932, son of the late Joseph and Helena, predeceased by brothers Stanley and Walter and fondly remembered by his brother Bill Fujarczuk (late Alexandra).
He came to Canada when he was a young boy and began a new life in the Toronto area. As a young man Karl was a talented musician with his own band. He began his working career at the Ford Motor Company, but his ambition and entrepreneurial spirit led him into the home building business with his brothers. He was a man with great vision. As his experience grew he used his talents to build a successful real estate development company specializing in high rise apartment construction, commercial plazas and property management, as well as golf and bowling businesses. He volunteered his time to help build St. Maximilian Kolbe Church and Copernicus Lodge. He also chaired the Board of St. Stanislaus-St. Casimir’s Polish Parishes Credit Union. But his greatest passion in life was his family. He was an avid golfer, downhill skier and boater who loved to spend his time by the lake at the cottage in Honey Harbour. Dziadzia was one of the most kind and caring persons you could ever meet. He will be deeply missed and we will cherish all the special times we had together.
Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth line (403/Dundas), on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary to be on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 4260 Cawthra Road, Mississauga, with burial to follow at Glen Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
