MAMMONE, Bruno

MAMMONE, Bruno It is with a heavy heart and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bruno Mammone on April 5, 2019, surrounded by his family at the age of 75.

He was a loving husband to Maria Assunta (nee Madaffari) for 53 years and cherished father to his daughters Domenica (Matthew) Presti, Victoria (Edward) Matteliano and his son John. He was predeceased by his parents Domenica and Giovanni Mammone, stepmother Giuseppina Mammone, his in-laws Rocco and Vittoria Madaffari and Nonni Bruno and Caterina Mammone, Caterina and Gesone Italiano, and Zii Suor Caterina, Maria Antonia and Giuseppe Mammone, and Vincenzo and Caterina Monteleone.

Bruno was a master carpenter, affectionately referred to as “Mastro.” He enjoyed a long and respected career with his son John working for John Bruce Robinson (39 years) and Peter Budd Developments (27 years). John lost more than a father when he passed; he lost his best friend. The two worked together every day for over 30 years.

Bruno will always be remembered for his generosity, his strong will, and the great pride he took in his work. He was a humble man, but he carried himself with class. He was well loved and respected by those near and far. Bruno is loved and remembered by his grandchildren; Nicholas, Marco, and Olivia. Also, his siblings: Domenica (Tony), Archangelo (Rosa), Annunziata (late Francesco), Vincenzo (Lina), Caterina (Domenico), Carmela (late Alberto), Angela (Vince), Tony (Paula), and Frank; his brothers-in-law Michele (Domenica) and Michele (late Vincenza); and his Zii: Vincenzo (late Anna), Rosa (Vincenzo), Giuseppina (late Pasquale), Assunta (Antonio) from Italy and Zii Marianna and Domenico Napoli and Domenico and Fortunata Italiano from Canada as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
