CIMBA, Michael Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, Michael passed away at the Willowgrove Long Term Care Centre on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the age of 100.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of over 60 years Helen. Father of John Cimba (Elizabeth), Michael Cimba (Nadia), Maria Kopal (Allan) and Helen Messina (the late William). Grandfather of Adrianne Crocker (Glen), Jane Pottruff, Edie Cimba-Bushell (Marty), Michael Cimba Jr., Jason Kopal (Candace), Daniel Cimba, Allan Kopal Jr. (Maria), Natalie Messina-Tomini (Mike) and Melissa Noorany (Cameron). Great-grandfather of Dayten, Jerren, Dawson, Nicole, Miller, Ryan, Bates, Cadyn, Ethan, Connor, Nolan, Jack, Isabelle, Eva and Jonathan. Survived by his sister Mary Shuhet. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful team at the Willowgrove for the compassionate care provided to Michael. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Panachyda at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Slovak Byzantine Catholic Church, 1406 Barton Street East, Hamilton on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
