SZPAK, Stepan On Friday, October 12, 2018 at the age of 95, died peacefully at Humber River Hospital. Stepan will be sadly missed by family and friends in Canada and in Ukraine. He was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and was very active in the community, giving his time to such organizations as Plast Canada Hamilton Branch, the Ukrainian Canadian Catholic Brotherhood, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the Ukrainian veteran book publisher Litopys UPA.
Stepan will be resting at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St., on Friday from 6-8 p.m., with Panakhyda at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Demetrius the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Voldymyr Cemetery, Oakville.
