TENG-SHU JEN

TENG-SHU JEN

JEN, TENG-SHU (nee YANG) Passed away peacefully, in her sleep, just before sunrise on February 2, 2021, at the Chester Village Care Home (Toronto). She lived to see her 98th birthday. Teng-shu’s journey began in Sichuan, China, on December 29, 1922, the youngest of six children. In 1947, she moved to Toronto, Canada, with her diplomat husband, Jen Tsoo-hong (1912-1999), both of whom later became proud Canadian citizens.

They worked tirelessly to provide a good life for their four children. We are deeply grateful to them for the sacrifices they made. A service to celebrate her long life will be held in spring 2021, when she will be laid to rest beside Tsoo-hong in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Teng-shu’s four children and their spouses: Roland (Pam), Carson (France), Shirley (Frank), and Marian (Charles) and seven grandchildren: Andrew, Chantal, Stéphane, Nadia, Samantha, Eric and Chloé, wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated Chester Village staff, especially the Jade Wing’s Koriza, Samira, Siva and Yeshu, for their loving care of Teng-shu over the years.
