VANDERWERF, Helena Maria (nee Huitema) It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Helena, at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, March 29, 2019, in her 83rd year.
A loving wife, mother and Oma. Helena will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Pieter; her children John (Ana-Mae), Andrew (Marie), Richard (deceased) (Andrea), Lisa (Ken) Bohnert, Veronica (Steve) Shea and her cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Colleen, Amanda, Emma (Brendan), Evan, Pieter, Kyle and Kayla (Tyler). Helena will also be lovingly remembered by many family members here in Canada and in Holland.
Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME , 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek, on Monday, April 1st from 5- 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 2nd at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 384 Rymal Rd W, Hamilton from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
