WONG, Henry (Hok Yuen) After a long life with family and friends in Hamilton, Henry Wong passed away of cancer at the age of 89 on Thursday morning March 21, 2019.
Born in Taishan, China in 1930, he came to Canada in 1954 and his family came to Hamilton several years later. He was a happy person always ready to greet you with a smile, and enjoyed helping his friends. He provided much opportunity for his family and together with friends opened the Lee’s Restaurant in Mount Hope.
Husband to Jeannie (Sau Gee) Wong. Beloved father to Judy (Kaye) Wong, Harold (Diana) Wong, and Jackie (John) Thiopoulos, and grand-father to Kerman and Kelly Fong, Matthew and Josh Thiopoulos, and great-grand-father to Madison and Jakob Fong.
His life will be celebrated at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington), with viewing on Wednesday, March 27th at 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m., and funeral services on Thursday, March 28th at 1 p.m., followed by burial services at Woodland Cemetery.
