ADAM KOSITSKY

ADAM KOSITSKY

KOSITSKY, ADAM Adam Kositsky, beloved son of Lynne and Michael Kositsky, and sister Jamie-Rachel. On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, ten days after his 49th birthday, Adam passed away peacefully under the caring and compassionate supervision of the MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying) professionals.

We are very grateful to them as they also helped see us through such a difficult time. Adam was a kind and generous man who cared more about other people’s well-being than his own. He volunteered at the Food Bank and helped the homeless and unemployed cut through bureaucracies to get the assistance they needed.

In his younger days, he was an actor who played Jacob Two-Two onstage at the Young People’s Theatre in Toronto. He also appeared in many TV shows including Today’s Special, My Secret Identity and 9B, and movies such as Sing and Lena, My Hundred Children. At the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, he was asked to be the speaker of a documentary for high schools giving them the material they needed to learn how to protect themselves against the disease. He was highly creative, producing a CD of his own songs, and writing a book of poetry and a novel.

He will be sorely missed by family members and friends. In lieu of flowers or food, please consider a donation to the MAiD House in Toronto, https://www.maidhouse.ca/donate
