JEFFRIES, Allen – Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Markham Stouffville Hospital in his 91st year. Loving husband to Pauline for 68 wonderful years. He will be lovingly missed by his children Alana (Vern) Ladouceur, Jayne (Vern) VanDusen, Todd (Lynn) Jeffries and by his grandchildren Kyle (Michelle), Sarah (Phil), Tyler (Ginny), Derek (Amber), Blake, Carly and Bailey (Gabe) and his great-grandchildren Henry, Lyra and Hadley and sister- in-law Dorothy. Predeceased by his siblings Frank, Jack, Ada and Gord. Allen will be fondly remembered by the rest of his family and friends. A special thanks to Allen’s family physician, Dr. Steve McLaren and the staff and nurses in the Palliative Care Unit, especially Andrea at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their wonderful care and support. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd., 416-267-4656. A visitation will take place from 10-11 a.m. Thursday with a Funeral Service to follow Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Following the service a reception will be held. If desired, donations may be made to the Markham Stouffville Hospital.
