With Anthony Arfo Jr.’s hand in his, Anthony John Arfo Sr. (“Tony”), aged 93, left us and joined his beloved “Ciccia” – his late wife Frances – surrounded by love on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Father to Joanne (John), Frank, Katharine (Tom) and Anthony (Kim); Papa Tony to Sarah, Julia, Victoria and Jessica; Uncle Tony to many and dear friend to anyone who crossed his path. Tony perfectly embodied all the pillars of his faith and the traditions he grew up with – love, family, gratitude, joy and kindness to others. At last, after a few years of peace and quiet, Ciccia has her lifelong friend and adoring husband of 65 years back in her arms, slow dancing in their kitchen in heaven as they sing a favourite song. The family thanks the caring staff at Trillium Hospital for taking good care of Tony during his short stay. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 4070 Central Pkwy. E., Mississauga, on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
