NEMETHY, Balazs – Peacefully on June 29, 2016, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Budapest, Hungary, he immigrated to Canada, via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with his wife, Elizabeth and three young children, Rita, Paul and Edith and a dream to start a new life. He was an accomplished Professional Engineer and was a hard working family man who was the steady, rock foundation of a strong, close knit family. He lived in Toronto but spent the summer at the family cottage in Muskoka, enjoying and caring for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth, his children, Rita and her husband, Paul, Paul and his wife, Debbie and Edith and her husband, Michael. He was loved by his grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, James, Michael, Peter, Jaclyn, Melissa, Mark, Andrew, David, Thomas and his great-grandchildren, Claire, William and Brianna. He always had time and endless patience to play, talk and guide the younger members of the family. Visitation at the PAUL O’CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Pharmacy and Warden), on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. A celebration of life on Wednesday, July 20th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bonaventure Church (Leslie, south of Lawrence).
