CURRIE, Bernadette Marie – Passed into eternal rest on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the age of 87. Bernadette, formerly of Reserve Mines, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her beloved husband William (1998). Loved and cherished mother of Joseph (Dorothy), Michael (Linda) and Francis (Connie). Grandmother of Jennifer, David, Matthew, Fiona, Clinton, Katherine, Ellen, Ryan, Mallory, Emily, Andrew, Grant and Blake. Great-grandmother of Carly, Ben, Fisher, Samara, Makenna, Cohen and Liam. She was the daughter of the late Philip and Helen (Etienne) Syms. Predeceased by her brothers William, Joseph, Gerald, Frederick, Philip and Sheldon and sister Rita. Survived by brother Elmer. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the MCDOUGALL & BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 2900 Kingston Road, Toronto, 416-267-4656, on Friday, February 10th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 11th at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 131 Birchmount Road, Toronto.
