BERNADETTEWARCHOLAK

WARCHOLAK, BERNADETTE 1932 – 2017 Bernadette, beloved wife of Joseph Warcholak, was born in St. John’s, NL and passed away in Calgary on June 18, 2017, at the age of 84. Bernadette grew up in Sweet Bay, NL, moving to Toronto in her early 20s. She taught school for many years, before meeting Joe. They started a life together marrying in 1960, having two children, Debbie and Michael. She loved her children and would do anything for her grandchildren, Malcom and Rebecca, children of Michael and Nancy; and Patrick and Colin, sons of Debbie. Bernadette was a wonderful cook; if not in the kitchen she was out in the yard. Bernadette and Joe spent many years in Lorne Park, ON, in a wonderful house that is full of fond memories. Her love of family was evident by the close family ties with her sisters and brothers. She leaves behind her beloved husband Joe. The tenderness they showed for each other was felt by many who knew them. She will be forever missed by her son Michael and daughter Debbie. Bernadette also leaves behind her sisters Gertrude Baird, Madeline Maloney, Geraldine Sheppard and brother-in-law Eric Berwing, her brother and sister-in-law Brendan and Elaine Maloney and sister-in-law Edwina Maloney, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Bernadette was predeceased by her two sisters Irene Maloney and Rose Berwing and brother Stephen. Fair weather to you and snow to your heels. Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service which will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at LEYDEN’S CHAPEL OF REMEMBRANCE (corner of 17th Avenue and 2nd Street SW, Calgary, AB), at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens (17th Avenue SW and Lower Springbank Rd.).
