BLACK, May 1925 – 2016 After a long and full life, May Black of Hamilton passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. May was born and raised in Paris, Ontario, the daughter of Henley and May Billings. Predeceased by her husband Jim Black (2004). Dear mother of David (Liz), Donald, Eva Crevier (Gerry), Joel (Sandi), Glen, George, Murray (Carolyn), Sharon Black-MacKinnon, Bruce and Robert (Candace). Loving grandmother to Jonathan (Heather), Kerrison, Selena, Aretha, Nicholas, Gerry, Christopher (Becky), Kathryn (Matt), Joshua (Cora-Lee), Jordan (Lisa), Michael, Sharlene, Matthew, Emma, Shaunna, Alexa, Ashley, Michael, Elisa, Chelsea, Tracey, Eric, Nathan and Alyssa. Great-grandmother to Cameron, Jordan, Skylar, Alexander, Bennett, Kama, Braydon, Brooke, Mark, Aaron, Gage, Kohl, Taryn. May was a retired employee of the Sisters of St. Joseph. She was also a lifetime member of the Rebekah’s (I.O.O.F.), and a longtime member of Centenary (New Vision) United Church. Special thanks to her caregivers Ruth, Christine and Laura, and the staff at the Hamilton General Hospital for their compassionate care. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), Hamilton, Ontario on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. Private Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
