BROWN, James W. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Woodstock Hospital on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of the late Linda A. (nee Corke) Brown. Dear father of Greg (Tracey) Brown and Kerry (Chad) Yeck. Loved grandfather of Zachaury, Rhylin, Morgan, Nathan and Joel. Jim will be remembered by his sister-in-law; Leslie (Dave) Lamb, his brother-in-law Ian (Darlene) Corke and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son-in-law and best bud Aaron Yeck, his parents Arnold and Grace Brown and by his mother-in-law Violet (Alan) Corke. Jim was a past member of Craigowan Golf and Country Club and an active member of the O.C.N.V.A. (Navy Club). Jim was a proud and loyal fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs much to the fun ribbing by his friends at the Navy Club. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 2:30 – 4:30 and 7 – 9 p.m., where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lloyd Bennett officiating. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery later in the spring of 2017. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
