GILLILAND, Bruce Arnold
After a hard fought struggle with Parkinson’s, Bruce passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, April 28th , 2017 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Yvonne for 61 years. Loving father of Cindy Ouellette (Robert), Mark (Lucille), Colleen Hudson (Mark), and predeceased by daughter Sharon Rose. Devoted Grandpa of Katherine Koopman (Steve), Mary Rose Thaler (Jason), Adam Hudson, Jacob Hudson and Great-Grandpa of Abigail and Natalie Koopman, and Charlotte and Max Thaler. Survived by his sisters, Joan Price and Marilyn Campbell. Predeceased by his brothers Bryan and Raymond Gilliland. Bruce was very passionate about his garden and happiest when in his greenhouse. He was a die-hard Detroit Red Wings fan. Bruce was an amazing chef and passed down his love of food and cooking to all his family members. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary of the People Catholic Church (570 Marion Ave, Oshawa) on Wednesday May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234).
