Helen Janet BURNS
BURNS, Helen Janet Of Port Colborne, passed away at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton on Monday, September 19, 2016, in her 73rd year. Loving mother of Debbie (Tom) Cook of Port Colborne and devoted grandmother of Nicholas, Nathan and Olivia, dear aunt of Sean Donahue, Craig Donahue and Candace Panagabko. She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Burns, her sisters Martha Donahue and Lesley Panagabko. Helen was a member of St. James and St. Brendan Anglican Church and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for several years. Cremation has taken place. The Burns family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence St., Port Colborne on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 in the Davidson Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Canon Robert Hurkmans officiating. Family interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Dunnville at a later date. Memorial donations to the Lupus Foundation or St. James and St. Brendan Anglican Church Altar Guild would be appreciated by the family.
