CANBY, Charles Benjamin Formerly of Dundas, Ontario, died at the Toronto General Hospital on Sunday, July 10, 2016 after a prolonged illness following a single lung transplant at the age of 46 years. Predeceased by his parents Eugene and Joan Canby. Survived by his sister Laura Howlett (Andrew) of Owen Sound, nieces Emma and Anne Howlett, friends Allison, Jack, Pierre and his cat Boston. Charles was a High School teacher with the Hamilton Wentworth School Board teaching Physics and Mathematics having previously trained as an Engineer. He was an avid Sailor and enjoyed being on the water, he also enjoyed playing volleyball. Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation and Memorial Service announced in September. The family wishes to thank the transplant team as well as the ICU staff of the Toronto General Hospital. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the McEwan Centre for Regenerative Medicine.
