Cheryl Elizabeth TURNER

After a long battle with breast cancer Cheryl Elizabeth Turner is at rest. Daughter of the late Patricia (Murphy) and the late Captain Carl Turner, sister to Blaine and David, sister-in-law to Kathy and Jennifer and friend to many. She was born in Owen Sound January 16, 1955 and passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Toronto. Cheryl, a graduate of Carleton University enjoyed a long and successful career in educational publishing. She started at Holt, Rinehart, and Winston 34 years ago and also worked at Harcourt, Nelson, and Rubicon Publishing. She was happiest spending time with family and friends, whether it be a quiet conversation, enjoying live performances, travelling the world, or spending time at the family cottage at Sauble Beach. All who knew her will miss her compassion, energy and the joy of living she brought to our lives. Further, her courage and positive attitude throughout life and into her final days were a testament to her personal strength as well as evidence of her desire to protect those who loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For those wishing to do so, Cheryl would appreciate an In Memory donation to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
