MATTINA, Concetta (Gina) Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Friday, October 21, 2016 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Camillo Mattina (2010). She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Maryanne van der Zalm (John) and Sally Settimi. Cherished Nonna of Michael (Kendra), Jenna (Brandon), Paul (predeceased), and Sarah. Predeceased by her parents Matteo and Salvatrice Arnone. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family members and friends in Sicily and Canada. Gina lived for her family. Visitation will be held at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 4-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Church.
