CorneliaLOKOFF

LOKOFF, Cornelia – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cornelia Lokoff (nee Zeck) on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Typical of Corrie, she left us quietly, in her sleep, without warning and with absolutely no fuss. Predeceased by her parents, Josina and William Zeck, Corrie, was the loving and devoted wife of Risto Lokoff for 60 years, loving mother to Sandra and Paul (Bridgid), proud grandmother of Andrew and sister of William. Corrie arrived from Amsterdam post war after enduring the occupation of Holland. This experience instilled in her the values of hard work, abhorrence of waste and the taking for granted the wonderful gifts and freedoms we enjoy as Canadians. In her retirement, Corrie undertook an ongoing, very successful study of the stock market and was frequently known to call in to quiz and challenge guests on TV and radio business programs. Known to all of us as Oma, Corrie was fiercely loyal and devoted to her family. We will miss her loving warm smile, Sunday night dinners, considered counsel and quiet pride in her family’s accomplishments. In lieu of flowers, we know Oma would be happiest if you, instead, had dinner with your family and invested in a blue chip stock. Friends and family will be received at HERITAGE FUNERAL CENTRE, 50 Overlea Blvd., 416-423-1000, on Tuesday, August 16th from 5-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 7 p.m. Private family interment.
