VRBANIC, Danica After a lengthy illness, Danica passed away in the good care and comfort of the staff of Juravinski Hospital on June 27, 2017 at the age of 77. She has joined her parents Franjo and Marija Spehar and has finally been given the peace she so much deserved. Deeply missed by her husband Franjo who she was married to for 56 years. Lovingly remembered by her children George (Rowena) and Vicky Nylund. Cherished Baka of Nadia, Vladimir, Sasha, Tatiana, Sophie and Jacob. Mother-in-law of Randy. Dearly missed by her extended family and friends in Canada and Croatia. Danica was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother who put her family as her number one priority. She will be deeply missed. Visitation for Danica will be held at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:15 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Croatian Church on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
