BRAND, Delphine May —
Passed away peacefully on April 9, 2017 at the age of 97 with her son Gerry and daughter-in-law Barbara at her side. Beloved wife of the late John Brand (72 years). Loving mother of Patricia Fyfe (deceased) and son-in-law William. Dear Nana of Greg (Jen), Jeff (Ann), Jenna (David), Stephanie (Jonathan) and Great-Nana of Cate, Tommy, Emma, Xavier, Evander, Finn and Adelynn. Emigrated from England in 1951 after World War II with her husband and family to create a better life after facing long years of bombing while caring for a baby daughter. Her joys included her family, her home, entertaining and long walks in the park with John. We are extremely grateful for the kind and loving care she received in the last few months of her life at Upper Canada Lodge, Niagara. Family and friends will be received at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229), on Monday, April 17th for Visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow. Memorial donations may be made to The War Amps or Sick Children’s Hospital.
