With his sense of humour intact and surrounded by his family, Don passed away September 22, 2017 at Brampton Civic Hospital in his 89th year. The first son of six children of the late William (Paddy) Duggan and Ethel (nee Williams), Don was born in Blaencwm, Rhondda, South Wales, UK and emigrated to Canada in 1957 with his new bride Lynda Mary (nee Dunford). Don and Lyn settled in Toronto working as building superintendents then moved to their own little house in Bramalea in 1965. Don was a driver for Airline Limousines and Charterways Bus Lines and retired from Brampton Transit in 1992 after over 30 years in the transport industry. He tended to his family, friends and garden until his health declined in 2012. He was marvelous and maddening, alarmingly honest and honestly alarming and we loved him. He is survived by his loving wife Lynda of 60 years, cherished daughter Donna-Lee, son-in-law Rick and treasured granddaughter Rhianna, his loving sister Pat (Gareth) and brother Bertram, extended family and friends..Don is predeceased by his sister Betty, brothers Len and Gwynn, sister-in-laws Marion and Ann. Many thanks are extended to the EMT’s, doctors’, nurses and staff of the Brampton Civic Hospital.
