ONNA HAYDEN At Markham Stouffville Hospital, Saturday, June 11, 2016, in her 60th year: We announce the passing of Donna Hayden after a long and valiant battle with cancer; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Donna was a major contributor to many community charities and social groups: President of CFUW, long- standing member of the Markham Quilters Guild and volunteer for too many other causes to be named. She was an exceptionally compassionate person and always had a shoulder for anyone to lean on. She generously shared her time, gifts and talents through the many beautiful quilts that she so meticulously crafted. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their expert care and compassion throughout her final journey. Donna will be deeply missed by her large family and many friends. Strangers to Donna soon became friends. The garden she planted will continue to bloom in memory of her and we have somebody between the stars we will never forget. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 16th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at DIXON- GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main St. North (Markham Rd.), Markham.
