KIRBY, Doreen “Dee”
Passed away peacefully at Sunnycrest Nursing Home on Monday, April 10th, 2017 at the age of 86. Devoted Wife of the late Harvey Lloyd Kirby. Loving mother of Douglas Kirby and his wife Kathi, Jane Jackson and her husband John, Susan Kirby, Paddy Strasbourg, Al Kirby and his wife Kim. Cherished Nanny of Noel, James, Stephanie, Damien, Leslie, Brad, Phil, Rachel and Will and great grandmother of Dillon, Taylor, Joseph, Sabina-Jane and Rowan. Sadly missed by her brother Tom Thompson (and his late wife Doreen). Lovingly remembered by her extended family, friends and her precious cat Murphy. Predeceased by her parents Hazel and Willie Thompson and her brother Bill Thompson. Daughter-in-law of the late Jenny and Gordon Kirby. Dee was an Angel from Heaven who touched everyone she met with her generosity, love and kindness. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, April 18th from 1:30 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Mental Health Services would be appreciated.
