DOREEN LAYCOCK 1924 – 2016 Passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Doug. Beloved mother of Judy, Gayle (Bob) and Larry (Paula). Cherished grandma of Tara (Amanda), Drew (Tysha), Janya (Mike), Brad (Becca) and Megan (Aaron) and great- grandma of Damien, Tina, DoraLee, Jacob, Peter, Christian and Liam and dear sister of Eleanor Green. Doreen was a proud former member of the “Red Hat Society” and for many years, at about this time, Doreen could be found with her family enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes at the CNE. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach St., Port Perry (905-985-7331) at 1 p.m. There will be no formal visitation prior. A reception in honour of Doreen will immediately follow, after which Doreen will be laid to rest with Doug in Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa.
