SYKES, Dorothy (nee Flewelling) 1930 – 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Dorothy on January 24, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late John Brook Sykes and loving mother to Jim Sykes (Sue) and Gail Wiegand (Derek). Much loved grandmother to Jennifer (Mike), Jeffrey (Sarah), Daniel (Clare), Steve (Mathilde), Jill (Kehl) and Ellen. Great-grandmother to Evelyn and Lukas. Predeceased by grandson Billy. Dorothy is the daughter of the late John and Rita Flewelling and sister of the late Robert Flewelling. Special thanks to The Meadows LTC for their wonderful care and support throughout this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the M.A. Clark Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington Street, Hamilton, on Sunday January 29th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A private interment will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to the Osteoporosis Society of Canada-Hamilton Chapter would be greatly appreciated by the family.
