GOEGAN, Douglas James 1951 – 2017 Doug loved life and he tried hard to fight death. He wanted everyone to know he wasn’t a quitter. Doug loved his family, his friends, his garden, his beer and his baseball, all in that order. We will greatly miss his quick wit and dry sense of humour. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Louise (nee McMain), his parents John and Marion Goegan, his daughters Lisa and Stacey, his favorite son-in-law Leo and grandson Andrew. His brother Tom, his sisters Debbie, Susan (Bill), Sandra (Brian) and Louise’s brother Doug (Kathy) and all his many nieces, nephews and extended family will miss him greatly. We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff of Brampton Civic Palliative Care unit for their caring and supportive efforts on Doug’s behalf. He died peacefully as a result of their careful nurturing. A special thanks to Bob and his wonderful music.
