Esther DOWNTON
DOWNTON, Esther On September the 18, 2016 a loving and gentle soul returned to heaven. Esther was the beloved wife of David for 58 years, devoted mother of Julie (George) Appleton, Albert (Crystal) and Patty (Joe) Anacleto. She was the doting grandmother of Drew, Tanner, Christopher, Travis, Troy, Emily, and Matthew. A precious great-grandmother to Ellie and David. She was the sister to Thurza Capozzi and adored godmother to Donald and Darren Watling. Esther was a proud American. She was a founding member of St. Stephen United Church in Burlington and served on the board that created the plan for the Carpenter Hospice. With deepest gratitude we thank the staff of Mount Nemo Christian Nursing Home for their kind and gentle care for our Saint Esther of Buffalo. Celebration of life will be at St. Stephen United Church Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. with reception immediately after.
