DR.Boraiah “Harsha” SREEHARSHA

SREEHARSHA, DR. Boraiah “Harsha” A loving and gregarious man who embraced his life to the fullest and was looking forward to so much more of it, has died in an accident, aged 41. An accomplished Radiologist at the University Health Network in Toronto and a devoted husband, father and friend, he was serious and fun-loving, sincere and diligent in every part of his life. Harsha was raised in Mandya in southern India, where he went to local schools before attending medical school in Mysore. An exceptionally talented and hard-working student, he trained as a radiologist in Liverpool, where he met the love of his life, Marie Moynihan, whom he would marry in 2009. Together they went to Boston, where Harsha took up a Fellowship at Harvard, before immigrating to Canada in 2010. He engaged life in Canada with enthusiasm. At the Joint Department of Medical Imaging at UHN, he was a dashing and dynamic Abdominal Radiologist, with a passion for interventional radiology, multi-modality imaging and constant improvements in his craft. In Cabbagetown his easy charm and charisma quickly won him a wide circle of friends, who were always welcome to share in the open and warm atmosphere of his home and family. Throughout his life he inspired others to make the most of life’s possibilities, to do what was right and to love and be loved. He is survived by his wife Marie, his children Niamh, Maeve and Seán, his parents Sheela and Boraiah, his brother Sreevastha and sister-in-law Tara. A funeral will be held at the Brampton Crematorium and Visitation Centre, 30 Bramwin Court, Brampton, on Wednesday, August 30th at 2:30 p.m. There will be visitation hours from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
