DUBOIS, Louise Ann (nee Grightmire) Passed away peacefully on July 01, 2016 at the Juravinski Hospital, in her 90th year. Born October 2, 1925 in Dundas, Ontario and predeceased by her loving parents James and Marie Grightmire. Louise also lived in Ancaster, Winnipeg and New Port Richey, Florida, her yearly snowbird paradise. Louise had a life filled with many rich experiences. She travelled widely, was a keen bridge player, excelled in golf, culinary arts, music, quilting, knitting, interior decorating and everything she attempted. Known for her perfectionism, fine eye for detail, sharp mind and Irish wit, she often referred to sleeping as “just a waste of time.” Dedicated to her Catholic faith, she was a member of St. Augustine’s CWL in Dundas and extended her generosity to include charitable organization too numerous to mention. An amazing, feisty and dearly loved woman who always placed the needs of others before her own, she leaves to mourn her husband of 69 years, Raymond, children John (Jean), Deborah, Jim (Lori), Marie, Stephen, Carolyn, and Raymond Jr. (Jeanne). Her motherly love extended to the Kamminga family of Winnipeg where matriarch Dora and her five children Stephen, Kendall, Dean, Chad, and Angie completed the family chain. Louise was predeceased by her granddaughter Danette, but will be fondly remembered by grandchildren John Jr., Jacqueline, Robbie, Paul, Nicholas, Katherine and Amelie as well as great-grandchildren Pascale, Simone, Blake, James, Marielle, and Meara. Louise also leaves to mourn her sister Joan Curtis (late Wilfred), brother-in-law Dick (late Miriam) Dubois, and sisters-in-law Maryann (Jack) Graham, Beverly (late Lorne) Dubois, and Lorna (late Ken) Dubois along with numerous nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her sisters Rita (late Walt) Quinn and Helen (late Ambrose) Warnick. The family extends their deepest appreciation to the Juravinski I.C.U. medical team for their compassionate care and professional dedication which was exemplary. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME , 796 Upper Gage Avenue, Hamilton on July 7, 2016 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass to take place at St. Augustine’s Church, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas, on July 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
