Beloved husband of Christine Helmus (nee Austin) and the late Billie Cooney. Loving step-father of Alex Smolcic (Jennifer Carter) of Trenton and Adam Smolcic of Port Coquitlam. Proud grandfather of Kayden and Kyra. Fondly remembered by his siblings Ingrid (Bruce) Campbell, Ronald (Dedrie), Ralph (Grace), Freddie (Anna) and their families. Ed will be fondly remembered by the staff of Sears Canada for his 42 years of service.
