CHIOCCA, Elisa (nee Polenta) Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 90 at Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, on August 24, 2017. She was born in Monte Compatri, Rome, Italy, on May 9, 1927 and immigrated to Toronto with her husband Franco and daughter Patrizia in 1955. Elisa was loved and cherished and will be forever missed by all, her children Patrizia (Tony), Emilia, Olindo (Marya) and Roberto (Luciana) as well as her grandchildren Julia (Mike), Carla, Elisa, Noah and Amadeo and her great grandchild Giorgia. A celebration of life will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street, just north of Dundas Street, Toronto, on Thursday, August 31st from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 1st, followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. Elisa has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Hospital for Sick Children.
