ROSE, Ellen-Jane (nee Deck) —
Our beloved mother, devoted sister and cherished grandmother died peacefully at North York General Hospital on July 27, 2016 surrounded by family.
She was a creative, energetic, persuasive, loving and formidable woman. She was the President of Toronto’s iconic Fran’s Restaurant chain and past Treasurer of the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservice Association.
She will be forever loved and missed dearly by her children, Ellen (John Crundall), Michelle (Robert Luptak), Mike (Meral Kesebi), Mary Jane (Karam Barzkar), Joe (Sandra Rose); loving sister to Francis Deck (Anne), Theresa Wood (David), Cathy Exarhakos (Peter) and aunt to their children; grandmother to: Alexandra, Tala, Victoria and Arman; dear friend to Barb and Bob Howley, Isabel Ward Paige, Margarita Garcia and Maria Macias.
Visitation will be held at TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Thursday, August 4, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016, at ST. GABRIEL’S PASSIONIST PARISH (670 Sheppard Ave. East, Toronto).
