Emanuela “Lina” GRILLI (nee Ferrelli)
GRILLI, Emanuela “Lina” (nee Ferrelli) Passed away suddenly on Friday, November 18, 2016 in her 86th year. Adored wife of the late Antonio Grilli (1997). Loving and proud mother of Rocco (Louise) Grilli, the late Joanne Grilli Fournier (Lyndon Fournier), and Rosella Grilli-Dack (Philip Dack). Cherished nonna of Anthony Grilli (Savannah), Lauren Grilli, Alexander and Aaron Fournier, and Julian and James Dack. Much loved sister of Anna (Angelo) Trombetta, the late Liberatore ‘Libby’ Ferrelli (Ida), and Maria Cantelmi (the late Anthony). Sister-in-law of the late Rosario and the late Michelina Grilli, the late Rosina (the late Raffaele Santucci), Carmela Oddi (the late Concezio). Beloved daughter of the late Angelo and Carmela Ferrelli. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada, USA and Italy. Lina married Antonio in Pettorano Sul Gizio on August 20, 1950. The following year they arrived in Hamilton, greeted by her father, Angelo. Lina worked various jobs until the birth of her 3rd child after which she devoted herself full-time to her husband and children. Lina loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed the last 16 Canadian winters with her daughter Rosella and family in The Bahamas. She will be sadly missed by her dear friends at the condo and in Nassau. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Wednesday from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at 12 noon. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
