Passed away peacefully at Baycrest Apotex Home for the aged in his 89th year. Beloved husband of his beautiful wife Irene “Pickles” for 67 years whom he adored. Loving father of Linda, Deborah and Janine (Mark). He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his grandsons Caelan and Braedan. Also survived by his cherished brother Ron (the late Patsy) as well as his many nieces and nephews and their families. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Sunday February 19, 2017 in the Chapel of the Thompson Funeral Home (530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora) at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association of York Region or the Children’s Wish Foundation. Ernie was deeply loved by all who knew him.
