EVARISTO “ZORRO” BERNARDI It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father Evaristo “Zorro” Bernardi in his 92nd year on Thursday, April 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Cherished and devoted husband of the late Raffaella Bernardi. Loving and much loved father of Ria and Angelo, Nadia and Walter, Frankie and Anna. Adored and proud Nonno Ito of Sabrina, Oriana, Eric, Jason, Christopher, Charlotte and Chelsea. He has gone to join his family – parents Filomena and Piero, sisters Zita, Natalina and Enrichetta, brothers Alvise, Luciano, Riccardo and Carlo. Beloved brother of Caterina (France) and Bertilla (Australia). He will be dearly missed in the hearts of his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends both near and far. Proud owner of Zorro Excavating and Grading Ltd. He will always be remembered for his dedication to his family, his kindness to all, his unique sense of humour, his passion for togetherness and his zest for life. Family and friends will be received at Glendale Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1810 Albion Road, Toronto, ON (416-679-1803), on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2194 Kipling Avenue, Etobicoke, ON, 416-743-3830. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In memory of Evaristo’s humility, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Palliative Care unit of Etobicoke General Hospital.
