EVELINE DOREY On September 16, 2016 of heart failure at 90. Mourned by her children, Michael, Derek, Maureen and Monique; grandchildren Kimberley, Rick, Nicole and Danielle; great-grandchildren Benjamin, Luke, Zaida and Emiliana and her sister, Maureen and the Taylor clan. This funny, feisty and elegant woman survived two husbands, Maj. Edward Dorey and George Coleman (Master Warrant Officer, Ret.). She was North York Mayor Mel Lastman’s Secretary for over 21 years, an avid curler for 50 years and a volunteer secretary to The Thoroughbred Race Club of Woodbine. Visitations at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main St. S., Brampton, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 300 Balmoral Drive in Brampton. Interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Thornhill. Donations can be made to the Ontario SPCA.
