MANDELL-ARAD, Frances – Unexpectedly at the age of 83 on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Sunnybrook Hospital. Frances Mandell-Arad, beloved wife of the late Marvin Mandell, and Jack Arad. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Auby and Devorah Mandell, Gail and Stuart Teperman, and Jessica Mawson. Devoted Bubbie of Josh and Sarah Mandell, Stacey Mandell, and Andrew, Max, and Emma Collie, and Shelby, Paige, and Elijah Mawson. Great-grandmother of Rebecca, and Emily Mandell. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Wayne Tanenbaum and the late Estherelke and Robert Kaplan. Loved daughter of the late Joseph and Faye Tanenbaum. She will be greatly missed by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She devoted her life to many charitable organizations including, JNF, Associated Hebrew Schools, NCJW and Pioneer Women. She was a strong and intelligent woman who had a great impact on many lives. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Beth Tzedec Congregation, 1700 Bathurst Street (south of Eglinton). Interment at Beth Tzedec Memorial Park.
