HEATHCOTE, Gabrielle (nee COSYN) It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Gabrielle, on June 9, 2021, at the age of 97. Loving mother of Beverly (Gerry) of Toronto and George (Gale) of Windsor. Cherished grandmother of Amanda (John), Kimberly (Will), and George Andrew Brydon.
Great-grandmother of Lucas, Schyler, Madison, Rylie, and Clayton. Born in Hillegem, Belgium, she immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of 8 and was the eldest of eight children. Following in her family’s footsteps, Gabrielle was an entrepreneur and successful business owner in Windsor before retiring to Toronto.
Her natural talent and love of lawn bowling at Kew Beach LBC lead her to 3 provincial championships. Special thanks to Chartwell Grenadier staff and the loving and exceptional care at Huron Lodge in Windsor. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
