With great sadness we announce the death of George Braid on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Heather for 65 years. Wonderful father of Mike (Janet), Pamela (Tony) and Diane (Tom). Loving grandfather of Michael (Laura), Matthew (Siv), Jenna (Sergei), Devon (Imogen), Heather, Alison, Shannon and Kieran. Cherished great-grandfather of Avery. Dear brother of Bruce. Predeceased by his sisters May and Margaret. Our heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care given to George at Baycrest Hospital and to his devoted caregivers. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles) at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
