GILBERT STRACHAN DAVIDSON After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gilbert Strachan Davidson on Friday, July 22, 2016, in his 77th year. Loving husband to Eileen for 55 years. Beloved father to Christine (deceased) (Jim), Alex (Lynn) and Sandra (Terry). Proud grandfather to Ashley (Chris), Ryan, Emily, Lauren, Matthew, Ethan and Meghan and great- grandfather to Charlotte and James. Caring son-in-law of Isabella. Will also be dearly missed by his older brother Charles and many extended family members in Scotland and throughout Canada. Born in Scotland in 1939, he later immigrated to Canada in 1957. Gilbert was a retiree from Nestle Canada after 42 years of service. Remembered fondly as a true gentleman and an adventurer at heart, he will be forever loved and sadly missed by friends and family. Family and friends will be received at Skinner & Middlebrook, 128 Lakeshore Rd. E., Mississauga, on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10 a.m., until time of service at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow.
