DONOVAN, Hope LaVerda (nee Moffatt) At Carrington Place in Ancaster on Monday, September 25, 2017. Gone to be with the love of her life Murray (1982). Survived by her daughter Jean Maragno and favourite son-in-law Brett. Pre- deceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law Ray and Dorothy Moffatt and Willis and Faye Moffatt. LaVerda worked for many years at Beamers Feed Mill, Mount Hope and the Mount Hope Golf & Country Club. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Ancaster Fair for over 50 years and became the first Lady President in 1992. She was also an active leader with the 4-H Homemaking Clubs and the Sheep Club of Wentworth County. LaVerda will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends who supported her over the years. A special thanks to the staff at Carrington Retirement Home, CCAC, the Palliative Care Team, St. Elizabeth’s Nursing, Paramed, St. Joseph’s Homecare and Dr. Trinh for their wonderful care. A special thank you to my friend Paula for all her help and assistance; you are an angel. A private family funeral has taken place.
