BORLAND, Ian Wavell – Surrounded by loved ones, Ian passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the age of 75. Ian was born on April 8, 1942 in Toronto to Rose and James Borland. A Ryerson graduate and former judo instructor, Ian was a generous, kind-hearted man who devoted his life to his family and to his career with Dependable Truck and Tank Ltd. as a Fire Truck Salesman. Lovingly remembered by Claire, his wife of 46 years, daughters Tracey and Lindsay (Cameron), siblings Heather (Brian) and Bruce, sister- in-law Jane and his seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Rose and James (parents), May and Clare (in-laws) and Jim (brother). Family will receive visitors on Friday, April 21st from 6-8 p.m. at the McDOUGALL & BROWN FUNERAL HOME (2900 Kingston Rd). A memorial service for Ian will take place in the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow. The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and nurses at The Scarborough Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care. In lieu o f flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada are appreciated
