JAMESCAMPBELL ANDERSON

JAMES CAMPBELL ANDERSON WWII Veteran, British Army, Scotia Bank retiree. It is with deep sadness that we announce the end of Jimmy’s long journey peacefully at age 95 on July 7, 2016. Jimmy was born in Methil Hill, Fife, Scotland to Isabella Campbell and James Anderson. He was the 4th of 7 children. Jimmy married Winifred Allison in 1946 and in 1960 they immigrated to Toronto with their children Jim and Lorraine. Jimmy’s love of family to his kids, grandchildren (Tammy (Peter), Jason, Cameron and Brandon) and great-grandchildren (Owen and Ian) brought him great joy. He enjoyed fishing between the first and second islands on Lake Couchiching with family and friends, playing in pipe bands for many years (The Toronto Scottish) and watching the Leafs and always hoped he would see them win the Stanley Cup. Right up to the end Jimmy’s mind was sharp, his sense of humour alive and he continued to express concern for all he came in touch with. Jimmy was predeceased by his wife Winnie in 1993, his son Jim, his siblings Betty, Sybil, Ina, Mary and John and son-in-law Ron Munro. Jimmy will be fondly remembered by his brother Christopher as well as many friends and family members. A true gentleman, you helped shape who we are with your good nature and sense of humour. We love you, we will miss you and we will spend the rest of our lives celebrating yours. Love, Lorraine, Tammy (Peter), Jason, Cameron, Brandon, Owen and Ian. The family is forever grateful to Lenora for her kindness and compassionate care which allowed him to live in his own home until the Spring of 2016. Cremation has taken place at St. James Crematorium. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
